Marosa, a Vigo-based FinTech, is seeking a Junior Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help build reliable backend services for multinational clients. You will work with Java and Spring Boot to design RESTful APIs, write clean, testable code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with frontend, product, and design peers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Formación

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Around 1–2 years of experience with Java and object-oriented programming (internships, traineeships, or professional).
• Familiarity with Spring Boot or willingness to learn it quickly.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and how web applications communicate.
• A problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow within a supportive team.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, with guidance from senior engineers.
• Help build and improve RESTful APIs consumed by internal and external clients.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following team standards.
• Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback to grow as an engineer.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Learn about system architecture, performance, reliability, and security in production environments.
• Contribute to deployment and monitoring tasks as part of your professional development.
