AVS Added Value Solutions is expanding its Space Division and seeking a Procurement and Subcontract Manager to oversee the full procurement lifecycle for our SmallSat platform and institutional projects.

You will translate engineering requirements into robust commercial contracts, lead supplier evaluations and negotiations, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards in a lean SME environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead procurement activities for satellite equipment and subsystems; manage full lifecycle of RFPs, ITTs, and RFQs.
• Coordinate with engineering, PMO and global suppliers to deliver flight-critical subsystems on time and within budget.
• Draft and negotiate contracts (ATP, LLI, POs); manage contract changes under ECSS standards.

Founded in 2006, AVS Added Value Solutions is a leading high-tech engineering company with 20 years of experience delivering complex, pivotal projects across Fusion Energy, Scientific Innovation, Particle Accelerators, and Space.

Our track record includes three proprietary LUR-family satellites currently in orbit, which have successfully demonstrated the maturity of our platform architecture, subsystems, and LEO operations. Building on this flight heritage, we leverage our modular LUR-100 platform to support demanding institutional missions, including the ESA ARRAKIHS project and the development of the Canary Islands Satellite Constellation (Constelación Canaria).

To drive these ambitious initiatives forward, we are currently scaling our Space Division to advance our SmallSat capabilities.

About the Role

As the Procurement and Subcontract Manager for the Space Division, you will oversee the entire procurement process for our SmallSat platform and institutional projects. You will translate complex engineering requirements into robust commercial contracts, liaising with the engineering team, the Project Management Office (PMO) and global suppliers. You will ensure that flight-critical subsystems are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & Tenders: Lead procurement activities for satellite equipment and subsystems; direct the full lifecycle of RFPs, ITTs, and RFQs, including SoW documentation and Tender Data Packages.
• Supplier Selection: Manage Tender Evaluation Boards (TEB) via open competition or direct negotiation; contribute to multi-programme procurement planning, make-or-buy decisions, and Bids & Proposals cost estimations.
• Contracts & Negotiations: Lead contract drafting and negotiations (ATPs, LLIs, Preliminary Order Letters); own Contract Change Management (CR and CCN) under ECSS standards, with expertise in Long Lead Items.
• Monitoring & Reviews: Supervise supplier performance against cost, quality, and milestones; support PMO risk mitigation; lead PDR/CDR reviews at supplier facilities and report progress to stakeholders.

• Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced SME or compact team environment where resourcefulness, pragmatism, and hands‑on problem‑solving are essential.
• University degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical/business qualification, with several years of experience in project management featuring a strong emphasis on financial and contractual management, ideally within the space industry.
• High technical affinity to translate complex engineering requirements into robust commercial contracts, backed by exceptional negotiation skills and analytical thinking.
• Advanced use of CRM systems and MS Office, with essential knowledge of space sector‑specific procurement standards (e.g., ECSS).
• Advanced communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a strong asset.
