AVS Added Value Solutions is expanding its Space Division and seeking a Procurement and Subcontract Manager to oversee the full procurement process for SmallSat platforms and institutional projects. You will translate complex engineering needs into robust commercial contracts, liaising with engineering, PMO, and global suppliers to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of flight-critical subsystems.

• University degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent; several years in project management with financial/contractual focus.
• Strong ability to translate complex engineering requirements into robust commercial contracts and negotiate terms.
• Advanced use of CRM systems and MS Office with knowledge of ECSS procurement standards.

• Manage Tender Evaluation Boards (TEB) and participate in multi-programme procurement planning; contribute to cost estimations.
• Lead contract drafting and negotiations (ATPs, LLIs, Orders); own Contract Change Management under ECSS standards.
• Monitor supplier performance against cost, quality, and milestones; support PMO risk mitigation and report progress to stakeholders.

Founded in 2006, AVS Added Value Solutions is a leading high-tech engineering company with 20 years of experience delivering complex, pivotal projects across Fusion Energy, Scientific Innovation, Particle Accelerators, and Space.

Our track record includes three proprietary LUR-family satellites currently in orbit, which have successfully demonstrated the maturity of our platform architecture, subsystems, and LEO operations. Building on this flight heritage, we leverage our modular LUR-100 platform to support demanding institutional missions, including the ESA ARRAKIHS project and the development of the Canary Islands Satellite Constellation (Constelación Canaria).

To drive these ambitious initiatives forward, we are currently scaling our Space Division to advance our SmallSat capabilities.

About the Role

As the Procurement and Subcontract Manager for the Space Division, you will oversee the entire procurement process for our SmallSat platform and institutional projects. You will translate complex engineering requirements into robust commercial contracts, liaising with the engineering team, the Project Management Office (PMO) and global suppliers. You will ensure that flight-critical subsystems are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement & Tenders: Lead procurement activities for satellite equipment and subsystems; direct the full lifecycle of RFPs, ITTs, and RFQs, including SoW documentation and Tender Data Packages.
• Supplier Selection: Manage Tender Evaluation Boards (TEB) via open competition or direct negotiation; contribute to multi-programme procurement planning, make-or-buy decisions, and Bids & Proposals cost estimations.
• Contracts & Negotiations: Lead contract drafting and negotiations (ATPs, LLIs, Preliminary Order Letters); own Contract Change Management (CR and CCN) under ECSS standards, with expertise in Long Lead Items.
• Monitoring & Reviews: Supervise supplier performance against cost, quality, and milestones; support PMO risk mitigation; lead PDR/CDR reviews at supplier facilities and report progress to stakeholders.

• Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced SME or compact team environment where resourcefulness, pragmatism, and hands-on problem-solving are essential.
• University degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical/business qualification, with several years of experience in project management featuring a strong emphasis on financial and contractual management, ideally within the space industry.
• High technical affinity to translate complex engineering requirements into robust commercial contracts, backed by exceptional negotiation skills and analytical thinking.
• Advanced use of CRM systems and MS Office, with essential knowledge of space sector-specific procurement standards (e.g., ECSS).
• Advanced communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a strong asset.
