Haufe Group in Barcelona region is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java Spring Boot) to strengthen a team building an authentication and authorization product that centralizes login across Haufe’s ecosystem.

Based in Barcelona or nearby, you’ll operate in a hybrid setup with in-office days and productive remote time, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable backend services used by a broad HR-focused product suite.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring ecosystem.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and production clusters.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, IAM, S3).
• Strong API design, clean architecture and backend principles.
• Experience with GitLab Pipelines and Helm.
• Good practices around CI/CD and automated testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments; excellent English communication.

Our Location & Remote Policy

Being based in Barcelona or the surrounding areas is required. If you’re not currently located here but are open to relocating, please let us know; we’ll be happy to support you through the process.

What you bring with you

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring ecosystem (Boot, MVC, Security, JPA).
• Solid grasp of Kubernetes concepts (workloads, services, config maps, deployments) and experience working with clusters in production environments.
• Strong knowledge & experience working with: AWS services (EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, etc.) GitLab Pipelines, Helm, GitOps workflows
• Strong foundation in software design patterns, API design, clean architecture and modern backend principles.
• Good practices around clean code, automated testing, code reviews, secure development, and CI/CD.
• Proficiency with Git, and build tools like Gradle or Maven.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• High ownership mindset, team player, and result-driven attitude.

Nice to have

• Proven experience with OAuth 2.0 and authentication flows in enterprise environments
• Experience in multi-tenant systems and permission management at scale
• Strong understanding of security, roles, and authorization models in real-world platform
