SICPA is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to reinforce its Research & Innovation team in Madrid. You will architect and implement mission-critical applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot in a microservice framework, and build self-contained, testable modules for dynamic, responsive web apps.

Required are 3–5 years of experience, strong Angular/TypeScript skills, REST design, and familiarity with Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, and databases like PostgreSQL and Oracle.

Formación

• Engineering degree in CS or related field.
• 3–5 years experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot.

• RESTful API design and consumption expertise.
• Maven and dependency management in Java/Angular projects.
• Docker and containerized deployments.
• Keycloak OAuth and database experience (PostgreSQL/Oracle).

• Agile/SCRUM experience and English fluency.

Job description

To reinforce our Research & Innovation team, we are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer.

ROLE

• Architect, design and implement generic mission-critical applications in a microservice-based software framework.
• Create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components using Java +17 and Spring Boot 3.
• Deliver innovative, dazzling, and responsive web applications from these modules and components.
• Apply best practices when it comes to software engineering (testing, documentation, code review etc.)
• Apply state-of-the-art automated testing practices (unit, component, integration tests).
• Work on packaging and automated deployment of software.
• Contribute to product innovation ideas, prototypes, functional and design specifications in addition to production software.
• Apply agile methodologies throughout the development process: challenge and clarify requirements and ensure timely delivery of top-quality features.

PROFILE

• Engineering Bachelor or Master´s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong experience in Java +17 with a proven track record, ideally including knowledge of functional or reactive programming (Spring Boot, REST services, Git, Unit testing, E2E testing, Automated test).
• Experience with functional or reactive programming.
• Experienced in Angular 12 or higher, TypeScript, Bootstrap, NPM, CSS/SCSS
• Experience required 3-5 years.
• Knowledge of Patterns and Good Practices to design and develop quality and clean code.
• Wide experience in RESTful API consumption and design.
• Experience working with Maven and managing dependencies in both Java and Angular projects, with an emphasis on customizing products to meet specific requirements.
• Experience with container technologies, like Docker.
• Experience with Keycloak Oauth.
• Experience in relational databases, e.g., PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Familiar with the Linux environment, including shell scripting and software packaging.
• Frequently work with OpenShift and Jenkins to build and deploy applications in a containerized environment.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as SCRUM.
• Team player in a multi-cultural working environment with ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English.
