Qaracter - Beyond your Challenge in Spain seeks a Java Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain backend applications and microservices for banking projects. You will work across the full SDLC, collaborating with technical and functional teams in an international setting.

You will leverage Spring technologies, Kafka, and modern APIs, while interfacing with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis. OpenShift/WebSphere experience and strong English skills (B2/C1) are valued assets.

Formación

• 3+ years of software development experience with Java and backend technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Java Core (8/11) and Spring framework.
• Experience building microservices and enterprise backend applications.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs (REST/SOAP/OpenAPI).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, and testing.
• Databases experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Experience with WebSphere and OpenShift is a plus.
• English level B2/C1 or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java backend applications and microservices.
• Build scalable solutions using Java and Spring technologies.
• Work with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Stream for enterprise apps.
• Design and implement REST and SOAP APIs following best practices.
• Develop event-driven solutions with Kafka and contribute to EDA initiatives.
• Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis databases.
• Write unit/integration tests with JUnit/Mockito; support API testing with Postman.
• Participate in SDLC from analysis to production support.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
• Employ CI/CD tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube.
• Deploy and support apps in enterprise environments using WebSphere/OpenShift.
• Contribute to technical improvements and code quality; stay updated with tech trends.
