Qaracter is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join a technology team working on banking and financial projects. You will design, develop, and maintain backend applications and microservices with a strong focus on scalable solutions using Java, Spring, and Kafka.

You will collaborate across international teams, contribute to API design (REST/SOAP), and participate in the full SDLC from analysis to production support.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development with Java, Spring, and microservices.
• Strong experience with Java 8 and 11.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Stream.
• Experience developing microservices and enterprise backend applications.
• Experience designing and consuming REST and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis databases.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and Postman.
• CI/CD experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube.
• Experience with WebSphere and OpenShift.
• Ability to work effectively in international and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills.
• English level B2/C1 or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java backend applications and microservices.
• Build scalable and robust solutions using Java and Spring technologies.
• Work with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Stream to develop enterprise applications.
• Design and implement REST and SOAP APIs following best practices and software design patterns.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka and contribute to Event-Driven Architecture initiatives.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito, as well as support API testing with Postman.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from technical analysis and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with other developers, architects, functional analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work with CI/CD tools and practices, including Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Deploy and support applications in enterprise environments using WebSphere and OpenShift.
• Contribute to technical improvements, code quality, performance optimization, and continuous modernization of applications.
• Stay up to date with new technologies, frameworks, programming languages, and software engineering best practices.
