Qaracter is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join a technology team focused on banking and financial projects. You will design, develop, and maintain backend applications and microservices, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the SDLC.

You will work with Java 8/11, Spring Boot, Kafka, and modern enterprise technologies to deliver scalable solutions. The role offers exposure to WebSphere/OpenShift in an international environment.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Extensive Java core knowledge incl. Java 8/11.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Stream.
• Experience designing and consuming REST, SOAP APIs and OpenAPI.
• Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture experience.
• Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Testing with JUnit/Mockito; API testing with Postman.
• CI/CD with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java backend applications and microservices.
• Build scalable solutions using Java and Spring technologies.
• Develop REST and SOAP APIs and follow best practices.
• Implement event-driven solutions with Kafka.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases.
• Write unit/integration tests and support API testing.
• Contribute to SDLC with cross-functional collaboration.
• Participate in CI/CD workflows and code quality improvements.
• Deploy and support in enterprise environments (WebSphere/OpenShift).
• Stay updated with new technologies and best practices.
