A technology services company is seeking an IT Support Engineer / IT Technician located in Madrid, Spain. The role involves diagnosing technical issues across Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms, ensuring system security and stability. Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish and have experience in technical support roles. The position offers a full-time, fixed-term contract with negotiable salary based on experience.

Formación

  • Previous experience in an IT Engineer / Technical Support or IT Technician role within managed services or enterprise IT.
  • Strong technical capability across Microsoft Windows, Linux (Ubuntu / Red Hat), and macOS environments.
  • Experience with OS patching cycles and structured change management.

Responsabilidades

  • Diagnose and resolve issues across Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Support security patching, feature updates, and firmware fixes.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, networking, peripherals, drivers, and performance problems.
  • Assist with imaging, configuration, and provisioning of corporate endpoints.
  • Resolve installation, performance, and compatibility issues.

As an IT Support Engineer / IT Technician, you will resolve complex technical problems across Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS, ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and fully updated. You will also support enterprise applications and deliver high-quality customer service.

The IT Support Engineer / IT Technician will play an important role in maintaining OS security baselines, managing MDM‑compliant devices, and supporting users across a wide range of enterprise technologies.

DUTIES
  • Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve issues across Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS
  • Patch Management: Support security patching, feature updates, and firmware fixes
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot authentication, networking, peripherals, drivers, and performance problems
  • System Imaging: Assist with imaging, configuration, and provisioning of corporate endpoints
  • Enterprise Application Support: Resolve installation, performance, and compatibility issues
  • Vendor Liaison: Work with software vendors on defect resolution and escalations
  • Documentation: Contribute to SOP creation for industry or customer‑specific applications
  • BYOD Support: Provide support for iOS and Android devices under MDM requirements
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • ESSENTIAL
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish
  • Previous experience in an IT Engineer / Technical Support or IT Technician role within managed services or enterprise IT
  • Strong technical capability across Microsoft Windows, Linux (Ubuntu / Red Hat, and macOS environments)
  • Experience with OS patching cycles, system updates, and structured change management
  • Proven experience of troubleshooting networking, drivers, file systems, and hardware/software issues
  • Experience with MDM solutions such as Intune or Jamf
  • Experience with CMDB systems and patch-level compliance tracking
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
