Overview

IT Engineer (Iberia)

Location: 80% Alcobendas, Madrid / 20% Valdemoro, Madrid / Regular travel to Barcelona

We have a varied and exciting opportunity for an experienced IT support technician to join us here at RS Iberia, as our Local IT Engineer. You will be an integral part of our team and have a wide range of responsibilities, including delivering support, installation and configuration of End User Computing (EUC) hardware, software, printers, telephony (fixed & mobile), warehouse peripherals, servers and network devices.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in ensuring service levels are maintained and improvements are identified.
• Help to ensure we have a detailed record of all local systems and may also assist in project activity including the deployment of new hardware, applications, upgrades, additional automation, and any other related change activity including IT infrastructure changes e.g. cabling, computer room management etc.
• Co-ordinate and assist other RS staff and 3rd parties as required, assisting them on site and co-ordinating with them to identify and resolve issues and fulfil requests.
• Act as on-site contact to coordinate the delivery of technology services with both internal and external service providers.
• Hold responsibility for and drive the continuous service improvement process for your business user
• Support the rollout of new services to business partners and 3rd party partners, communicating changes impacting the organisation internally and externally

What we are looking for

• Fluent Spanish, and excellent English skills.
• Ability to drive and travel as needed, as you will be supporting our Offices and Warehouse around Madrid, as well as our office in Barcelona as needed.
• You will already have experience supporting Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, InTune and M365)
• You possess a solid understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, and Request Management processes and how they drive business processes.
• Great customer service skills, including an ability to translate technical information into everyday language
• You have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining focused thinking
• You are able to demonstrate flexibility, including out of hours working when needed
• You are able to manage suppliers towards service restoration when required.
