Job summary

Allianz Technology is seeking an IT Risk Officer to oversee operational and technological risk within the Risk Function. The role is part of the second line of defense, ensuring proper identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks and a robust internal control environment.

The candidate will coordinate risk identification, monitor mitigation plans, perform control testing, and support risk committees while fostering a risk-aware culture across IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in IT/operational risk management, internal control, IT audit, or digital environments.
• English B2 minimum (mandatory)
• Knowledge of COSO, COBIT, ISO, and regulatory risk frameworks
• Strong technical profile with analytical thinking and risk awareness
• Excellent soft skills including communication and collaboration with IT and business teams
• Familiarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of risk management and internal control framework across the organization.
• Coordinate identification and assessment of operational and technological risks.
• Define and monitor mitigation plans and corrective actions.
• Perform control testing and evaluate design and effectiveness.
• Identify weaknesses in the control environment and ensure remediation and reporting.
• Prepare and support risk committees or risk monitoring forums.
• Promote a risk culture through training and communication.
• Coordinate with IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and business units for comprehensive risk management and regulatory initiatives.
