Empresa de Seleccion partners with an international company to recruit an IT Category Manager to join the Procurement team in Barcelona. The role covers IT category management across EMEA, combining strategic sourcing with strong stakeholder interaction.

You will manage IT categories (Software/SaaS, Cloud, IT Services, Telecom) and lead end-to-end sourcing, RFI/RFP/RFQ, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contracting. Fluency in English and Spanish required; hybrid work model in Barcelona.

Formación

• Experience in indirect procurement and category management within an international environment.
• Experience leading IT sourcing, supplier negotiations and contracting.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and balance business needs with procurement objectives.

Responsabilidades

• Manage IT procurement categories across EMEA (Software/SaaS, Cloud, IT Services, Telecom).
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing: market analysis, RFI/RFP/RFQ, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contracting.
• Develop category and sourcing strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and cost optimisation.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal and other stakeholders as a trusted Procurement advisor.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with technology suppliers.
• Support evolution of procurement processes, governance and ways of working.

We are partnering with a well-established international company to recruit an IT Category Manager to join its Procurement team in Barcelona. This is an international role with EMEA scope, combining IT Category Management, Strategic Sourcing and strong stakeholder interaction. We are looking for someone who can go beyond transactional procurement: understanding business needs, shaping sourcing strategies, challenging requirements when needed and building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and technology suppliers.

What will you be doing?

• Manage and develop IT procurement categories across EMEA, including areas such as Software/SaaS, Cloud, IT Services, Telecom and technology vendors.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing processes, including market analysis, RFI/RFP/RFQ, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contracting.
• Develop category and sourcing strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, cost optimisation and value creation.
• Partner closely with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Legal and other business functions, acting as a trusted Procurement advisor.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with technology suppliers.
• Support the evolution of Procurement processes, governance and ways of working across the organisation.
• Monitor supplier markets and technology trends to identify opportunities, risks and alternative solutions.

What are we looking for?

We would particularly like to meet professionals with:

• Experience in Indirect Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management within an international environment.
• Hands-on experience managing IT categories such as Software/SaaS, Cloud, IT Services, Telecom or other technology-related spend.
• Experience leading RFP/RFQ processes and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to manage and influence senior and demanding stakeholders, balancing business requirements with Procurement objectives.
• Strong commercial mindset and confidence working with suppliers and contracts.
• An autonomous, proactive and pragmatic approach.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model in the Barcelona area.

You don't need to have managed every IT subcategory. We are looking for someone with a strong procurement acumen and the ability to continue developing within a broader EMEA Category Management role.
