Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe, Spain, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Mission A/C & Ground Software Department. You will design, implement and verify software components for onboard and on-ground mission systems. The role also involves deployment and architecture evolution to meet customer needs with a collaborative team. The position offers a hybrid work model with 40% remote work and strong growth opportunities.

Formación

• 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in C/C++ language is required.
• Knowledge of Linux OS is required, SUSE Linux distribution desirable.
• Knowledge of HMI middleware (Qt) is desirable.
• Knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) is desirable.
• Experience with software design patterns and software verification (unit testing, integration testing) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Agile methods (SCRUM, KANBAN, SAFe) is beneficial.

Job Description:A vacancy for a Software Engineer has arisen within the Mission A/C & Ground Software Department. We develop onboard and on ground mission systems to manage the different inputs and data from different sensors (EOIR, AIS, Radar, DataLinks) and provide an enriched tactical picture to the operators (Pilots, Co-Pilots, C2 operators, etcetera) enabling mission planning, monitoring, execution and debriefing capabilities.RESPONSIBILITIESThe selected candidate will be responsible for the detailed design, implementation and verification of software components, and the configuration and deployment of the software components to be delivered into the different environments (development and integration). In addition, the candidate will participate in the evolution of the overall software and deployment architecture to adapt the current mission software products to the needs of our new customers.The candidate will be part of an existing and experienced team that will allow him/her to learn and grow in a professional environment. The candidate will find a motivated and cooperative software department where his/her experiences and technical knowledge along with the capacity to understand the different system needs.Besides the technical requirements the candidate has to be open minded, innovative, decisive and willing to participate in its working environment.SKILLSAt least 2 - 3 years of experience in a related fieldAdvance knowledge and experience in C/C++ language is requiredAdvance knowledge and experience in the whole Software Development Cycle is required (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Validation & Verification)Knowledge and experience with linux OS is required.
