Job summary

Destinus seeks a Quality Management System Coordinator to lead the end-to-end ISO 9001 implementation from scratch across multiple sites. You will define roadmaps, build the system architecture, and establish audit mechanisms to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

You will drive culture change, mentor cross-functional teams, and liaison with certification bodies. A lead auditor certification and 7+ years in aerospace/defense quality are highly valued, with EU travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years leading quality management systems in industrial, aerospace, defense, or high-tech environments.
• Proven track record designing and implementing ISO 9001 and EN9100 from scratch with certification lifecycle ownership.
• Certified Lead Auditor (LAC - 40hr) with hands-on auditing experience.
• Expert knowledge of ISO 9001, EN 9100, EU regulations, and global quality practices.
• Strong ability to influence C-level and cross-functional teams; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ISO 9001 implementation across multiple sites and functions.
• Conduct gap assessments and define roadmaps for certification and continuous improvement.
• Design and build the integrated management system architecture with policies, templates, KPIs, and audits.
• Establish internal audit programs, risk registers, and management review processes.
• Drive cultural change to make quality, sustainability, and safety shared mindsets.
• Train cross-functional teams to adopt and own the systems and drive maturity.
• Liaise with certification bodies to ensure successful audits and ongoing compliance.
• Lead internal and supplier assessments, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and leadership to embed quality in operations.
• Report progress, risk mitigation, and performance improvements to executive leadership.
• Travel to EU countries as required to support audits and implementations.
