Job summary

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, seeks an HR intern in Madrid to support onboarding of new employees in Spain and ensure access to resources and tools. You will assist with employment documentation and benefits enrollment, while supporting HR daily operations, records, and system updates.

You will help track sick leaves, relay payroll information, and explain benefits to employees, contributing to the efficiency of the People team and compliance with Spanish labor law.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in HR or related field.
• Prior internship in HR is a plus.
• Familiarity with Spanish Social Security or HR administration is a plus.
• Strong data management skills with spreadsheets.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding of new employees in Spain and ensure access to resources and tools.
• Assist in employment documentation and payroll enrollment.
• Support HR daily operations, including records and system updates.
• Assist in tracking sick leaves and updating Social Security/payroll data.
• Explain benefits to employees and assist with benefits programs.
• Support changes related to salary, benefits, promotions, bonuses, etc., and collaborate on improvements.
• Provide support to People team on payroll, administration, and benefits.
• Help employees with day-to-day questions and act as internal customer advocate.
• Assist in lifecycle administration from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance.

THE JOURNEY

Support the onboarding of new employees in Spain and help ensure they have access to the necessary resources and tools. Assist in ensuring employment documentation is signed according to Spanish legislation and benefits enrollment is completed.

Support HR daily operations, including employee records, system updates, and document management.

Assist in tracking sick leaves and ensuring our database is updated with information from Social Security and our payroll provider.

Help explain benefits to new hires and current employees.

Support administrative changes related to salary, benefits, promotions, bonuses, etc., and collaborate on improvements to benefits packages.

Provide support to the People team and other departments on topics related to payroll, administration, and benefits.

Support employees on a day-to-day basis and help answer questions related to benefits, payroll, and company policies.

Treat employees as internal customers and help facilitate their day-to-day work life.

Assist in managing administrative aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with Spanish labor law

Support internal audits to ensure employee files are compliant and properly maintained.

Help identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of changes.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Law, Business Administration, Psychology, or similar

Previous internship or academic experience in HR is a plus

Basic knowledge of Spanish Social Security, Spanish tax regulation, or HR administration is a plus

Good data management skills — Excel / Google Sheets knowledge

Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and Spanish

Proactive, hands-on, and eager to learn

Detail-oriented — you care about accuracy and organization

Curious mindset and willingness to improve processes and coordination between teams
