Job summary

European Investment Bank in Luxembourg seeks an Associate Sector Specialist to help deploy innovative transport technologies, including digitalisation, automation and decarbonisation, within the Projects Directorate and Mobility Department. The role focuses on shipping, digitalisation in maritime, and cross-cutting transport sectors.

You will assist in project appraisal, due diligence, and analysis, interact with project promoters and stakeholders, and contribute to sector papers while aligning

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, economics or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in innovative transport.
• Interest in innovative transport technologies, decarbonisation and logistics.
• Strong analytical ability and clear appraisal communication.
• English and/or French fluency; knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project appraisal and monitoring with research and data analysis.
• Assist senior colleagues in assessing project rationale, viability and policy alignment.
• Take part in due diligence and support defined activities.
• Contribute to sector and policy papers and liaise with stakeholders.
