A leading fintech company is looking for an Engineering Manager to shape the engineering vision and oversee teams in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in performance management, and the ability to foster team development. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of €80,000 – €90,000 gross per year and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative sector.

Company Overview

A fast-growing fintech specializing in Open Finance, API-based banking services, and Embedded Finance. Headquartered between Barcelona and Paris, the company operates across Europe and Latin America. It is licensed as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) with passport rights to operate across EU countries. The team consists of approximately 100 employees from diverse cultural and international backgrounds.

Role & Responsibilities

Contribute to shaping the engineering vision, structure, and processes.

Lead and oversee two product-oriented squads (each including a Tech Lead, Developers, and QA Engineers).

Take part in hiring, onboarding, and developing team cohesion and motivation.

Define and monitor performance and quality KPIs, analyze results, and drive continuous improvement.

Organize and run delivery rituals (stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.).

Maintain awareness of security and regulatory requirements specific to the sector.

Advise and participate in strategic technical decisions.
