What You’ll Do

• Own the Desktop Platform: Lead the design, development, and delivery of Qustodio’s desktop, SDK, kernel and embedded components.
• Lead Platform Delivery: Drive the technical strategy for our core desktop services, ensuring reliability, scalability and security at global scale.
• Architect for the Future: Work closely with Product and other Engineering teams to set the architectural vision, make high‑impact technical decisions, and ensure the platform meets today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges.
• Build and Mentor an Exceptional Team: Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent. Cultivate a high‑performing, inclusive team culture focused on excellence, ownership, and innovation.
• Deliver at Scale: Balance speed, quality, and risk while driving predictable execution of complex initiatives across multiple platforms.
• Champion Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across the company to align priorities, evangelise platform services, and unify technical efforts.
• Raise the Bar: Define and up‑hold engineering best practices while continuously improving our development and QA processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing or leading high‑performing engineering teams, including hiring and mentoring.
• 5+ years of hands‑on C++ experience building highly scalable, multi‑threaded, high‑performance distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/OSX and Windows development environments.
• Deep understanding of C++ coding best practices and memory/performance management, plus advanced debugging and profiling skills.
• Proven ability to align technical execution with business priorities and drive results across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with socket filters, SSL, and transparent proxies.
• Kernel‑mode application development experience.
• Expertise in cross‑platform build systems (e.g., CMake) and cross‑platform codebases.
• Knowledge of modern C++ standards (C++11/C++17) and frameworks like Qt.
• Familiarity with install frameworks (MSI, Pkg).
• Experience with embedded systems.
• Track record of implementing continuous integration pipelines and Agile methodologies at scale.
