A leading engineering and technology consulting firm is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines in Madrid. The ideal candidate has 3–4+ years of experience, strong skills in ETL/ELT processes, Python, and SQL, and a solid understanding of data governance. This position offers an international working environment with opportunities for technical development.

Formación

• 3–4+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Proven experience with ETL / ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (expert level).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI / CD automation tools.
• Solid understanding of data governance, security, and GDPR compliance.
• Fluent in English for an international working environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL / ELT data pipelines ensuring efficient data flow and transformation.
• Implement and manage automation frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Define and apply data governance and GDPR compliance standards (lineage, documentation, security).
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and data processes.
• Collaborate in a cross‑functional, agile environment with data, business, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Proven experience with ETL / ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (expert level).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI / CD automation tools.
• Solid understanding of data governance, security, and GDPR compliance.
• Fluent in English (international working environment).
