Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, maintain and monitor the infrastructure that empowers developers and teams to deploy product updates efficiently.

You will build development tools and automation, ensure security and compliance, and collaborate with software, analytics, support and delivery teams in a fast-moving environment. The role requires strong AWS/IaC/CI-CD experience, AI tooling skills, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• Availability to work in US time zones (14:00–19:00 CET/CEST) if needed.
• Basic DBA proficiency.
• Extensive AWS experience: RDS, CloudWatch, EC2, S3, Redshift, CloudFront, Route53.
• IaC experience: Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless or similar.
• CD/CI tools: CircleCI, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.
• Hands-on with AI coding assistants in engineering workflows.
• Ability to prompt effectively for technical tasks and validate AI output.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Security awareness for AI services and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks assigned by Systems Manager.
• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
• Understand stakeholder needs and convey them to developers.
• Automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Participate in compliance and certification initiatives.
• Identify technical problems and develop fixes.
• Monitor systems in operation and detect incidents.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure processes are followed.
• Plan projects and participate in SCRUM events.
• Collaborate with Support, QA, delivery and partner services teams.
• Log time spent on tasks.
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate IaC and automation, with human review.
