Job summary

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is seeking an experienced Analyst to join its Infrastructure Debt Advisory team in Madrid. You will support origination and execution across energy and energy transition transactions, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to high-profile deals across the EMEA region.

The role emphasizes building detailed financial models, preparing client materials, and conducting rigorous analysis, with a strong focus on risk culture

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, Structured Finance, M&A or a similar transaction environment.
• Strong execution experience on live transactions and ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure.
• Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university with a strong academic track record.

Responsibilities

• Build and review detailed financial models, including operating models, debt mechanics and sensitivities.
• Prepare high-quality client materials: pitch books, reviews, presentations, information memoranda and board materials.
• Support live transaction execution across M&A and IPO processes, due diligence coordination and stakeholder interaction.
• Conduct sector, company, investor and transaction analysis across EMEA energy and energy transition space.
• Monitor market developments, valuation trends, regulatory themes and investor activity across sub-sectors.
