Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is seeking an experienced Analyst to join its Infrastructure Debt Advisory team in Madrid. You will support origination and execution across energy and energy transition transactions, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to high-profile deals across the EMEA region.

Formación

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, Structured Finance, M&A or a similar transaction environment.
• Strong execution experience on live transactions and ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure.
• Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university with a strong academic track record.

• Prepare high-quality client materials: pitch books, reviews, presentations, information memoranda and board materials.

• Conduct sector, company, investor and transaction analysis across EMEA energy and energy transition space.
• Monitor market developments, valuation trends, regulatory themes and investor activity across sub-sectors.

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is looking to hire an experienced Analyst to join its Infrastructure Debt Advisory team, based in Madrid.

This is an opportunity to work on high-profile transactions across the Infrastructure and Transportation in EMEA. The team advises leading corporates, infrastructure funds, private equity sponsors and other financial investors on complex strategic situations, including M&A, IPOs and other equity-related transactions.

As an Analyst, you will support both origination and live execution across a wide range of transactions in the energy and energy transition space, with increasing ownership of core analytical and execution workstreams.

• Building and reviewing detailed financial models, including operating models, detailed debt mechanics and sensitivities
• Preparing high-quality client materials, including pitch books, strategic reviews, management presentations, information memoranda, board materials and internal approval documents
• Supporting live transaction execution across M&A and IPO processes, including due diligence coordination, workstream management and interaction with internal and external stakeholders
• Conducting detailed sector, company, investor and transaction analysis across the EMEA energy and energy transition space
• Monitoring market developments, valuation trends, regulatory themes and investor activity across key sub-sectors
• Supporting senior bankers on client dialogue, strategic analysis and origination ideas

Professional Experience

2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, Structured Finance, M&A or a similar transaction environment.

Strong execution experience on live transactions and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure

Education

Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university with a strong academic track record-

Languages

Fluency in English (Required)

Additional European languages are a strong advantage (Preferred)

Hard Skills

Advanced financial modelling, with a strong grasp of accounting and corporate finance fundamentals (Required)

Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, Refinitiv, Mergermarket, Infralogic or similar tools is desirable (Preferred)

Soft Skills

Proven ability to produce high-quality client-facing materials, with excellent attention to detail and quality control

Strong interest in, and ideally prior exposure to infrastructure in EMEA

Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
