Job summary

Nalco Water, An Ecolab Company, seeks an experienced Design Engineer to join our Global High Tech team in Barcelona. You will support development and delivery of water and wastewater treatment solutions, combining process design, technical proposal development, and project support across the lifecycle.

Contribute to solution development, project qualification, commissioning support and ongoing optimization, ensuring reliable and cost-effective systems for industrial customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience designing and supporting the sale of water and/or wastewater equipment and systems for industrial clients.
• Experience preparing process calculations, mass balances and process flow diagrams.
• Excellent communication in English; French/Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial customers.
• Develop mass balances, process flow diagrams and technical documentation for project development.
• Prepare technical proposals, equipment selections and CAPEX/OPEX estimates.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including commissioning support.
• Collaborate with project managers, suppliers and engineering teams to translate requirements into delivery.
• Conduct site surveys to identify technical needs and develop fit-for-purpose solutions.
