A technology consulting firm in Marbella seeks a Big Data Developer to join their Regulatory & Compliance Technology team. The role involves designing and optimizing applications, developing data pipelines, and collaborating with stakeholders. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience in Big Data development, strong skills in Java and database technologies, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. This position offers a hybrid work model.

We’re looking for a Big Data Developer to join a dynamic Regulatory & Compliance Technology team, driving data‑centric solutions that power critical financial operations.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and optimize business applications across the full software lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver scalable, efficient solutions.
• Develop, test, and deploy backend services and data pipelines using modern frameworks.
• Apply best practices in code quality, security (SAST / Sonar), and Agile delivery.

What you bring

~2+ years’ experience in Big Data development.

• Strong background in Java, ETL, and database technologies (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with microservices, Kafka, OpenShift, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
