BFIS seeks a Secondary Mathematics Teacher to deliver a concept-based, inquiry-driven math curriculum aligned with Common Core Mathematics Standards, taught within the IB MYP framework, and to teach the IB-prescribed curricula for DP math courses.

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues, design units around problem solving and discourse, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and use technology to support mathematics learning.

Formación

• Recognized teaching qualification in mathematics or a related field (or a relevant postgraduate qualification).
• Master’s degree preferred; experience in international IB contexts is valued.
• Minimum 3–4 years of classroom teaching experience in mathematics.
• Spanish or another language proficiency is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver concept-driven math learning aligned with IB MYP and, where assigned, DP curricula.
• Design units of inquiry connecting math concepts with global contexts and ATL skills.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and extend those ready for greater challenge.
• Use technology purposefully to support math learning and discourse.
• Assess learning against MYP/DP criteria and provide timely feedback.
• Record assessment data and complete reports and conferences on schedule.
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine teaching practice and contribute to curriculum development.
• Support student wellbeing and communicate clearly with students, parents, and staff.
