Wood is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its Process & Chemicals business in Madrid. The role focuses on engineering and project management services for refinery and petrochemical facilities, with a hybrid work arrangement in Madrid.

You will coordinate engineering activities, prepare project specifications, and interface with clients while supporting schedule reviews. Fluent English and Spanish are essential, and a European work permit is required.

Formación

• Master/degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant EPC experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals.
• Familiar with international codes (ANSI/ASME/API/NFPA).
• Knowledge of MicroStation, PDS, SmartPlan3D.
• 3D modeling with SmartPlant Review and Navisworks.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving and results orientation.
• Willing to work in an international environment.
• Native Spanish and excellent English.

Responsabilidades

• Participates in the coordination of the engineering activities during the development of the project.
• Coordinates the preparation of Project Specifications by the various discipline departments.
• Assists / prepares the Coordination Procedure and the Project Execution Plan (PEP) in collaboration with the Lead Engineer and the Project Manager.
• Interfacing with the project team and the Client.
• Assists the Engineering Coordinator in the review of approved Project schedules and ensures that the Detailed Programs include all the Engineering activities of the units under his charge.
• Prepares the Project Specifications as assigned.
• Reviews the requisitions of the Critical and Principal Equipments of the assigned Units.
• Reviews and approves the vendor drawings of the equipments requisitioned by him / herself.
• Identifies and follows up the Contract Changes.
• Prepares man-hour estimates to support contract changes
• Assists / prepares the monthly Progress Report
