Ciklum, based in Málaga, Spain, is seeking a PHP Engineer to join a cross‑functional development team on a full‑time basis. You will design backend features, write high‑quality PHP code, and contribute to code reviews and SDLC activities.

The role requires strong PHP expertise, Laravel familiarity, and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, with a focus on scalable backend systems. A hybrid work setup in Andalusia offers global project exposure.

Formación

• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID, and GRASP.
• Proficient in documenting complex software solutions with diagrams and docs.
• Extensive PHP experience with Laravel and related libraries/tools.
• Deep knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL, with high‑performance queries and DB design.
• Experience building monolithic and distributed systems.
• Advanced PHP testing with PHPUnit or similar frameworks.
• Experience with deployment patterns and tools; cloud infrastructure familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement complex backend features from concept to deployment.
• Write clean, secure, scalable, well‑documented code following standards.
• Perform comprehensive code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in the full SDLC: planning, development, testing, deployment.
• Help uphold and improve engineering and quality standards; support adoption.
• Engage in technical interviewing as part of hiring process.
