Job summary

DXC Technology in Madrid is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement on-premises and hybrid infrastructures using VMware, Azure integrations, and related technologies. You'll collaborate with international teams to drive deployment and modernization.

The role emphasizes hands-on migration, automation scripting with Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible, and ensuring performance, security, and regulatory compliance across complex IT estates.

Qualifications

• Real experience in VMware/Hyper-V/KVM with hands-on implementation.
• Oracle or enterprise databases infrastructure understanding.
• Scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience in on-premises or hybrid environments.
• Experience in large or complex corporate environments.
• Nice to have Azure or AWS cloud experience.
• Knowledge of Zerto, Commvault, Guardicore, networking, monitoring.
• Hands-on, adaptable, proactive and collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement on-premises and hybrid infrastructures with VMware, Oracle and related technologies
• Automate infrastructure processes through scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible)
• Lead migrations from legacy systems to modern platforms, driving the technical implementation
• Optimize existing infrastructure: performance, availability, security and regulatory compliance
• Deploy AI-driven solutions for service modernization and intelligent automation
• Integrate Azure into hybrid on-premises + cloud strategies
• Collaborate with international teams on solution design and troubleshooting
• Document architectures and create infrastructure standards
