Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid seeks a Communications Systems Product Manager for Combat Aircraft. You will lead the design, development and qualification of the Communications System (HW/SW), ensuring it meets customer and regulatory requirements, cost and schedule targets, and delivers on-time customer acceptance.

You will coordinate with engineering, program offices and customers, manage the lifecycle from offer through flight clearance, and drive leadership across multifunctional

Qualifications

• Educated in an Aeronautical, Telecommunications or other Engineering degree or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in an Engineering related field.
• Avionics HW and SW integration experience valued.
• Background in technical team management.
• Background in project management.
• Networking skills.
• Leadership and team motivation skills.
• English: negotiation level; Spanish: negotiation level.
• Availability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and qualification/certification of the Communications System (HW and SW) for Combat Aircraft.
• Deliver the complete Communications System within the program, managing technical deliverables, schedule, cost, quality and risk up to customer acceptance.
• Coordinate with Chief Engineering Office, Program Office and Customer for multi-disciplinary teams during development to flight clearance.
