A global technology leader based in Spain is seeking a proactive HSE Technician to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across operations in Europe. The ideal candidate should have a technical degree in Engineering and a Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention, along with at least 3 years of HSE experience. This role involves compliance management, staff training, and conducting site visits to uphold HSE standards in a dynamic environment.

Formación

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE roles, ideally in electrical engineering or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; internal auditor certification is a plus.
  • Strong English (B2 or higher), with experience collaborating with multi-skilled site teams.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HSE Technician to join our team at Hitachi Energy. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across our operations in Europe, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement in HSE practices. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic, international energy sector environment.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Ensure compliance with Spanish legislation (Law 31 / 1995 and RD 39 / 1997) and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, implement preventive measures, and investigate incidents or near misses, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Manage HSE documentation, support internal and external audits, and prepare KPI and emergency response reports.
  • Train and raise awareness among staff, with a focus on electrical safety, and monitor proper use of PPE on-site.
  • Conduct site visits across Europe to ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy’s HSE standards.
Your Background
  • Technical degree in Engineering or related discipline, plus a Master’s in Occupational Risk Prevention (Advanced Level PRL valid in Spain).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE roles, ideally in electrical engineering or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; internal auditor certification is a plus.
  • Strong English (B2 or higher), attention to detail, proactive hands‑on attitude, and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-skilled site teams and contractors, with a willingness to travel occasionally across Europe.
