Job Summary
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, testing, reporting, and continuous improvement of the Workday platform and related HR systems. This role partners with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Compensation, Finance, IT, and end users to maintain accurate employee data, resolve system issues, support business processes, and deliver reliable reporting. The HRIS Analyst contributes to system enhancements and projects while building deeper functional and technical expertise across Workday.
Although this role supports a variety of Workday modules and HR technology initiatives, the immediate focus will be on Payroll and Advanced Compensation administration, support, reporting, testing, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
HRIS Administration & Support
- Provide daily support for Workday HCM and related modules, including Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Talent, Compensation, Recruiting, Reporting, and Security.
- Troubleshoot user questions, system errors, business process issues, and data discrepancies and elevate complex matters as needed.
- Support the maintenance of foundational data, organizational structures, business process configurations, and assigned security roles under established governance processes.
- Process approved configuration and data changes in accordance with established procedures and controls.
- Support end users with clear, timely, and customer-focused service.
Data Integrity, Reporting & Documentation
- Perform routine data audits, validations, reconciliations, and exception reporting to support HR data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain standard, custom, and ad hoc Workday reports and dashboards.
- Assist stakeholders with report requirements, data interpretation, and recurring reporting needs.
- Create and maintain system documentation, job aids, process maps, test scripts, and operating procedures.
- Handle confidential employee information in accordance with privacy and security requirements.
System Enhancements & Testing
- Participate in the review, testing, and implementation of Workday releases, updates, and enhancements.
- Execute test scripts, document results, track defects, and validate fixes.
- Assist with configuration changes, integrations, and cross-functional HR technology initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve data quality, and enhance user experience.
- Provide post-production support following system changes and deployments.
Project & Stakeholder Support
- Gather and document business requirements under the guidance of senior HRIS team members.
- Coordinate assigned project activities, status updates, deliverables, and issue tracking.
- Partner with HR functional teams, IT, Finance, and vendors to support HRIS initiatives.
- Communicate system changes, known issues, and process guidance to stakeholders.
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities.
Professional Development
- Stay current on Workday capabilities, HR technology trends, and internal HR processes.
- Participate in Workday training, user communities, and professional development opportunities.
- Build functional and technical knowledge across supported Workday modules.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of HRIS experience with Workday
- Experience with HR data, reporting, testing, system support, and issue resolution.
- Working knowledge of HR processes and employee data across one or more functional areas.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration, reporting, business processes, or security.
- Experience supporting one or more Workday modules such as Payroll, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Benefits, Time Tracking, etc.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Workday training or certification.
- Experience supporting global HR systems or integrations.
