Job summary

Horse Technologies, a division of Horse Powertrain Ltd, is seeking a Financial Controlling professional based in Valladolid, Spain, to manage project costs and budgets and to provide financial insight across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 4+ years in financial controlling, strong Excel skills, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. Experience with SAP is highly valued, with occasional travel to other sites as needed.

What you will do

• Monitor and control project costs (COGS) throughout the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather financial and operational information.

• Analyze cost variances and propose corrective actions and improvements.

• Prepare financial reports and executive summaries for project stakeholders and management.

• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and medium‑term financial plans.

• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency in financial reporting.

• Coordinate project costing activities and consolidate economic information.

• Support key project milestones by providing financial and cost control insights.

What we’re looking for

• A proven track record, at least 4 years, in financial controlling and project cost management, preferably within industrial environments; experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is highly valued.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering will be valued.

• Excellent skills in financial analysis and reporting, with advanced Excel proficiency.

• Strong competencies in stakeholder management and cross-functional communication, with a collaborative approach.

• Excellent command of English and Spanish, both spoken and written (minimum B2 level).

• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear business insights.
