Amazon is seeking an onsite Data Center HR Manager to lead the HR Partner team across data center clusters. The role is based on site in Spain with travel up to 30-40% annually and reports to the HRM based in the UAE.

You will drive HR process excellence, develop team capabilities, and align people strategies with business goals. The role requires 5+ years in HR leadership or equivalent leadership in operations, with experience implementing data-driven workforce solutions and strong knowledge of

  • Experience implementing data-driven workforce solutions and HR metrics.

  • Knowledge of local employment laws and regulations across Europe is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and develop the Data Center HR Partner team of 6-8 direct reports.
  • Build operating models and strategic plans for global HRP operations.
  • Drive process improvements and apply best practices to hire-to-retire HR processes.
  • Measure service health with clear metrics and report impact to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to close service gaps and justify new value-added services.
  • Manage onsite HR operations and partner with HRBPs across regions.

Description

The AWS Data Center Operations (DCO) HR Partner (HRP) Team is investing in an evolution of our HR organization to improve our Builder (employee) experience, support the next phase of growth, and increase HR team effectiveness.

We are searching for an onsite Data Center HR Manager (HRM, DCO HRP Team), to lead HR Partners across a region of data center clusters. This leader will report into the HRM based out of UAE, and lead a team of 6-8 direct reports in addition to supporting Builder needs in our Data Centers directly. AWS' Data Centers help build the foundation for excellence for many of our AWS customers. Driving this business is our talented employees who are strong owners, have the highest standards, and obsess over our customers.

This is a full-time position that is required to be on site. Travel will be required, up to ~30-40% of the time over the course of the year.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Develop Team Capabilities - work at an individual and team level to develop deep expertise in core hire-to-retire HR processes, provide stretch opportunities to advance the team and provide career development for team members.
  2. Build Operating Models & Strategic Plans - plan and direct the overall operation of a global HRP team to achieve quality, convenience and scalability objectives.
  3. Experiment & Deliver Results - research industry best practices (process excellence, products and services) that have tangible benefit to DC Ops managers.
  4. Operational Excellence - dive deep into problems, take end-to-end ownership of all aspects of processes improvements, and build processes that provide a high quality experience.
  5. Measure & Inspect - develop clear success metrics and inspect service health to drive cross-functional leadership understanding of business impact.
  6. Innovate & Build: identify opportunities that address service gaps, process inefficiencies, or emerging service requirements and develop the business cases for new value-added services.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience implementing data-driven workforce solutions and HR metrics
  • Experience managing employee-focused processes including onboarding, benefits, investigations, training and talent management
  • 5+ years of human resources leadership, or 5+ years of leadership in operations, customer service, retail, distribution, shipping/logistics, healthcare, hospitality, or manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of national and local employment laws and regulations
  • 5+ years of human resources leadership experience
  • Understanding of labor relations and employee representative bodies across multiple European/EMEA jurisdictions
