Monks is seeking an organised HR Generalist to support employees and managers in Madrid, Spain. The role focuses on delivering HR services, workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, and change management within a compliant, engaging workplace.

You will drive employee engagement, maintain accurate HR data (Workday), assist with payroll and leave management, and support organisational change initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Formación

  • 4+ years of HR experience in an advisory or HR support role.
  • Strong knowledge of local labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday) and strong administrative skills.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (required).

Responsabilidades

  • Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers, ensuring queries are handled efficiently.
  • Support leaders with workforce planning, onboarding, and performance management processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of Change Management Programmes to support organisational transitions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with the company’s values.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, tracking feedback and assisting with action plans.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations matters by supporting documentation, investigations, and follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and company policies.
  • Support managers with disciplinary processes, probation reviews, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage HR data entry and ensure accuracy within systems such as Workday.
  • Support payroll, benefits administration, and leave management in line with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and provide timely HR reporting.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for organisational changes.
  • Help facilitate communication during change initiatives to ensure employee alignment.
  • Support DE&I initiatives by promoting inclusive hiring practices and contributing to local engagement efforts.

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Generalist to support employees and managers within Madrid, Spain. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of HR services while contributing to employee engagement, talent development, and HR operations.

Responsibilities:
HR Support and Advisory
  • Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers, ensuring queries are handled efficiently.
  • Support leaders with workforce planning, onboarding, and performance management processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of Change Management Programmes to support organisational transitions.
Employee Experience and Engagement
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with the company’s values.

About You
The essentials:
  • 4+ years of HR experience in an advisory or HR support role.
  • Strong knowledge of local labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday) and strong administrative skills.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (required).
Personal Attributes

  • Detail-focused with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Not a must, but a plus:
  • Master´s Degree in HR or another subject related to the sector.
