Job summary

Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) invites applications for a Workflow Management Software Engineer (RE2) in the Earth Sciences Department. The role focuses on improving end-to-end workflows for global Earth system modeling on HPC platforms, with an emphasis on Autosubmit and workflow tooling.

Required are strong Python 3 skills, UNIX/Linux experience, and knowledge of workflow management solutions. The position offers a full-time contract, 35h/week, and relocation support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Master’s degree will be valued.
• Experience writing and maintaining tests (unit, functional, etc.).
• Experience with workflow management solutions is desirable.
• Good documentation skills for code and users.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Autosubmit workflow engine development, testing, improvements and docs.
• Maintain deployment on HPC platforms and publish updates to Git and PyPi.
• Support users inside and outside the BSC through workshops and tutorials.
• Disseminate results via publications and conference presentations.
