Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a diligent Houseperson to support housekeeping operations and maintain guestroom cleanliness in our hotel. You will perform floor checks, trash removal, linen deliveries, and assist with linen rooms and storage areas.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and communicate effectively with staff and guests. This role follows FEHA guidelines and participates in E-Verify as applicable.

• Attend, be friendly and courteous to guests, managers, and coworkers.
• Walk floors at start/end of shift; remove trash, linen, and newspapers; report cleaning needs.
• Use two-way radios; follow daily checklists for tasks including housekeeping duties.
• Handle Lost and Found items per hotel standards; return keys and assignment sheets; report maintenance issues.
• Assist with guestroom cleaning as needed; collect trash; deliver clean linen; maintain housekeeping areas.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and safety; comply with hotel procedures.

Compensation: $18.41 per hour

Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:

• Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
• Walk assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers, trays, empty ash urns, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
• Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
• Use daily checklist to complete projects as assigned including but not limited to:
• Ash urns
• Glass tables
• Furniture
• Ice machines/vending machines
• Elevator doors/frames
• Service landing/linen closets
• Stairwells
• Polish floors
• Other projects as assigned by management.
• Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests, fellow employees, and self.
• Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to the hotel standards.
• At the end of the shift, turn in all keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping Office.
• Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Be familiar with correct guestroom cleaning procedures to assist with cleaning if needed.
• Pick up any Room Attendant's dirty linen or trash as needed.
• Before leaving the section, collect all trash from the service landings and take to/dispose in outside trash dumpsters, per hotel procedures.
• Vacuum guest corridors.
• Assist Housekeeping as needed (i.e., bed boards, roll-aways, flip beds, etc.)
• Deliver any clean linen to assigned sections, if applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Housekeeping Office, linen rooms, storage closets, and stairwells.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Experience and Education:

• Previous in a Houseperson position preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
• Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
• Ascend and descend a ladder.
