Job summary

The Hoxton Poblenou in Barcelona is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the hotel’s facilities, equipment and technical systems. You will supervise the Engineering team and coordinate with external contractors to maintain high standards.

• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing the hotel's facilities, equipment and systems to maintain high standards.
• Supervise and support the Engineering team with daily tasks and performance monitoring.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programmes are implemented and followed, with timely actions.
• Monitor costs, budgets, stock levels and purchasing within established guidelines.
• Coordinate external contractors and suppliers, ensuring safe, efficient work.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations, including inspections.
