Job summary

The GLOBAL SEARCH COMPANY LIMITED is seeking a Head of Design – Womenswear for a leading international fashion retailer based in Kuwait. You will lead the creative direction, shape product identity and deliver commercially successful collections, within a design‑led organisation investing in product innovation, brand development and international growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience at Head of Design, Design Director or senior design manager level.
• Experience with internationally recognised fashion retailers and commercially successful womenswear collections.
• Ability to set creative direction and lead design teams across multiple product categories.
• Strong understanding of womenswear trends, fabrics, garment construction and product development.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence sales, margins and brand positioning.
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the creative direction and design strategy for womenswear across multiple product categories.
• Lead, mentor and develop the design team with clear priorities and high standards of execution.
• Own the seasonal design calendar from research to final sign-off.
• Translate global fashion trends into distinctive collections for the brand's customers and markets.
• Direct development of seasonal themes, silhouettes, colour palettes and key product stories.
• Collaborate with buying and merchandising to balance creative ambition with range requirements and margins.
• Work with sourcing, technical and production to maintain design integrity, fit and quality within costs and timelines.
• Oversee sample reviews, fit sessions and collection edits with clear direction.
• Use sales performance and market feedback to refine future collections.
• Present seasonal creative direction to senior leadership.
