Vertex Group Spain is seeking a senior designer to lead trend-led, multi-product woven design for womenswear, menswear and kidswear, with at least 6 years in a retailer or supplier and a strong commercial eye.

You will compile trend reports from catwalks and social media, attend design development meetings with account managers, conduct EU/UK competitive shopping, and sketch/spec final designs for the Design Room Manager.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Compile trend reports from Catwalks, blogs, editorial and social media.
• Attend design development meetings with Account Managers and present ideas, sketches and research to buying teams.
• Competitive shopping trips in the EU/UK and overseas and present bought samples and photos to customers.
• Work closely with Account Managers, assisting and supporting with product development.
• Sketch and spec final designs for handover to Design Room Manager.

Senior men's and women's designer

This is a great opportunity to come and join a leading high street manufacturer, supplying multi woven product womenswear, menswear and children wear to some of the biggest players on the Spanish and EU High Street retailesrs.

Our company has a strong reputation for design, fabric sourcing and product development and require a trend led multi product woven designer to join the team as a senior designer.

Ideally the candidate will have at least 6 years experience, and be someone who can identify trends and translate into commercial product. They will be responsible for researching and designing multi product across wovens, particular focus on tops and bottoms.

This is a very trend led, role and the candidate must have a young, fashion forward handwriting and able to work in a fast paced environment.

Designer- The Role

• Compiling trend reports from Catwalks, blogs, editorial and social media
• Attending and contributing in design development meetings with Account Managers and presenting ideas, sketches and research to buying teams
• Competitive shopping trips in the EU/UK and overseas and presenting bought samples and photos back to the customers
• Working closely with the Account Managers, assisting and supporting them with product development
• Sketching and spec’ing final designs to hand over to the Design Room Manager

Designer- The Candidate

• Design Degree or equivalent
• At least 6 years experience in a similar role at a retailer or supplier
• Trend led fast fashion Womenswear, Menswear and Children wear experience is a must
• Trend led portfolio with a commercial eye
• Excellent technical knowledge
• Strong hand sketching ability
• Confident in presenting ideas/research
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and AI
• Strong Organisational skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with buyers and suppliers
