Our client is looking for a Head of Security Engineering who’s ready to flip the script on traditional security, someone who doesn’t just follow best practices, but helps redefine them.

This is not your average security role. You’ll lead a globally dispersed team, architect cutting-edge security solutions, challenge the status quo, and embed real security value deep into a fast-paced, tech-driven organisation.

You’ll report directly to the Director of Information Security and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic security engineering vision, influencing teams across the business and delivering solutions that matter.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and inspiring a talented team of engineers across the globe
• Translating security strategy into action, and results
• Designing and delivering scalable, secure-by-default infrastructure & application solutions
• Collaborating with architecture, operations, and GRC to drive secure innovation
• Showcasing the impact of security engineering to execs, clients, and peers alike
• Building a culture of curiosity, accountability, and excellence
• Championing automation, DevSecOps, and cutting-edge cloud-native tools
• Turning frameworks like OWASP, MITRE & CIS into real-world engineering impact

What You Bring

• A proven track record leading high-performing security engineering teams
• Deep technical roots: from EDRs to WAFs, Kubernetes to IAM, you’ve been there
• A passion for doing things differently, and better
• The ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
• Fluent in security ops, architecture, and risk – but fluent in business value too
• Comfort in hybrid cloud, open-source tools, and modern dev practices
• Strong communicator, resilient operator, inclusive leader

Bonus Points For

• CISSP / ISSAP / ISSEP / ISSMP or similar creds
• BSc or MSc in InfoSec or related fields
• A love for building, scaling, and transforming functions from the ground up
