ADEO is a leading international group driving a transformable home improvement platform across Europe. We are seeking a Head of Risks & Compliance Marketplace to join the Marketplace Executive Committee, guiding compliance, risk, and governance across six countries.

Qualificações

• Master's degree required.
• At least 10 years of senior leadership in Risks, Compliance, or Trust & Safety, preferably in a large-scale ecommerce platform or marketplace.
• Proven management experience and ability to engage at executive level (ExCo/Board).
• Bilingual in English and French (daily fluent practice).

Responsabilidades

• Sit on the Marketplace ExCo to embed compliance and risk management into core strategic decisions.
• Define the global compliance vision and roadmap (DSA / VLOP, GDPR, P2B, EPR, KYC/AML, etc.).
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory authorities and oversee priority inquiries.
• Structure the Marketplace’s global risk map including operational, legal, reputational, and fraud risks.
• Design, deploy, and audit internal control frameworks, fraud policies, and Trust & Safety standards.
• Define KPIs and KRIs monitored at the ExCo level.
• Directly manage a lean team and oversee project delivery.
• Lead the compliance function cross-functionally and foster a culture of ethics and 'Compliance by Design'.

As Head of Risks & Compliance Marketplace, and a member of the Marketplace Executive Committee (ExCo)

1. Strategic Governance & Executive Committees

• Sit on the Marketplace Executive Committee (ExCo) to embed compliance and risk management into core strategic business decisions.
• Advise leadership on emerging risks, evolving regulatory frameworks, and associated operational/financial impacts.
• Hold and exercise the delegation of criminal liability regarding regulatory compliance and Marketplace operational safety.
• Lead compliance strategy alongside the Directors of Leroy Merlin and Tecnomat Marketplaces across our 6 European countries (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Romania).

2. Regulatory Compliance Management & Institutional Relations

• Define the global compliance vision and roadmap (DSA / VLOP, GDPR, P2B, EPR, KYC/AML, Consumer Protection, etc.).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities (DGCCRF, CNIL, European authorities, etc.) and oversee responses to priority inquiries.
• Ensure ongoing alignment of seller and buyer journeys with European and local regulatory standards.
• Structure the Marketplace’s global risk map (covering operational, legal, reputational, and fraud risks).
• Design, deploy, and audit internal control frameworks, fraud management policies, and Trust & Safety standards.
• Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) monitored at the ExCo level.
• Directly manage a lean team, initially composed of a Trust & Safety Project Leader / Analyst: set objectives, support skill development, and oversee operational project delivery.
• Lead the compliance function cross-functionally and foster a strong culture of ethics and "Compliance by Design" across all business teams (dedicated Digital Product Owner, data, tech, commercial, operations, legal, Group Quality teams, etc.).
• Master's degree (Master 2 in Business/Digital Law, Business School, Sciences Po, or Engineering School).
• At least 10 years of experience in senior management or leadership roles in Risks, Compliance, or Trust & Safety, preferably within a large-scale e-commerce platform / marketplace (VLOP) and/or a specialized consulting firm.
• Proven direct management experience and demonstrated ability to engage at the executive level (ExCo / Board), ideally managing a legal/criminal liability delegation.

Hard Skills:

• Expertise in project management and corporate transformation.
• In-depth knowledge of European and international digital regulations (DSA, GDPR, P2B, EPR, consumer protection directives).
• Proven mastery of power delegation schemes and criminal liability mechanisms.
• Strong governance, internal audit, and risk mapping management skills.
• Bilingual in English and French (daily fluent practice required, both spoken and written).
