Seqera is seeking a Head of Platform Engineering to lead Platform Infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and cost awareness across cloud environments. You will own IaC strategies (Terraform, Helm) and drive incident response, security reviews, and cost modeling, while mentoring the Platform Infrastructure team.

You will steer single-tenant hosting launches, govern production standards, and collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to embed infrastructure expertise early

You lead Seqera’s Platform Infrastructure, shaping reliability, security, and cost effectiveness across internal and customer-facing cloud infrastructure. You manage a DevOps/SRE team and participate in architecture decisions, ensuring the platform meets a high product quality standard. You drive a dedicated single-tenant hosting offering, and own core tooling (Helm, Terraform, CI/CD) as products. You partner across engineering, product, and customer teams to accelerate secure, scalable Biotech data workflows. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic platform direction to enable resilient, cost-aware, enterprise-grade solutions.

• Own reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of cloud infrastructure and platform health
• Lead the technical launch of dedicated single-tenant hosting including tenancy, provisioning, upgrades, and per-tenant cost model
• Own Helm charts and Terraform provider as products with versioning, docs, and tests
• Own CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and production deployment pathways for consistent pipelines and observability
• Make cloud cost an engineering discipline with team and tenant attribution, anomaly alerting, and design-time cost considerations
• Lead security posture through architecture reviews and enterprise customer communications
• Own formal incident response including severity definitions, incident commander rotation, and blameless postmortems
• Define production-ready standards (tests, observability, docs, runbooks) and enforce them across teams
• Grow and develop the Platform Infrastructure team, with hiring, mentorship, and career planning
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to bring infrastructure expertise into early decisions
• Led infra/platform/SRE teams with production reliability accountability
• Deep Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform experience in enterprise settings
• Shipped customer-deployable infrastructure and managed internal IaC with versioning and upgrade paths
• Strong security depth and ability to lead security architecture discussions
• Cost modeling and engineering ownership of cloud cost, with design-time considerations
• Experience with incident response and handling complex customer-involved incidents
• Comfortable interacting with senior engineers and leadership; strong documentation skills
• Ability to define and drive platform strategy in ambiguous environments
