Flywire is seeking a Senior Data SRE / Cloud Platform Engineer to own and scale cloud infrastructure powering data platforms and AI initiatives. You will define best practices for IaC, CI/CD and platform reliability across AWS and GCP, collaborating with data engineering and security teams to ensure uptime, security, and cost governance at scale.

You will lead IaC design, define SLIs/SLOs, architect CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD) and container orchestration with Fargate, enabling data tooling

Formación

• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps or Cloud Platform Engineering with production-scale cloud infra experience.
• Master-level Terraform experience for multi-account/multi-project AWS and GCP.
• Strong observability and reliability background (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).

Responsabilidades

• Lead IaC design and deployment across AWS and GCP using Terraform with enterprise-grade practices.
• Define and enforce SLIs/SLOs and alerting to maximize uptime and minimize MTTR.
• Architect GitLab CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration with Fargate for zero-touch deployments.
• Enable data platforms (Airflow, dbt, Pub/Sub, Beam) and AI integrations in secure, scalable cloud environments.
• Automate security policies (RBAC/ABAC), network security and cost governance for data workloads.

In this role you will own, scale and secure the cloud infrastructure powering our data platforms and payment intelligence. You will act as the cloud infrastructure anchor for data engineering and AI initiatives, defining best practices for IaC, CI/CD and platform reliability across AWS and GCP. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you help ensure security, cost governance and high availability at scale.
