Job summary

Pilatus Aircraft Ltd is seeking a Head of Finance to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across the Madrid Seville development site in Spain. You will drive the Accounting Department, ensuring IFRS/Spanish GAAP compliance, robust processes, and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting, 7+ years in FP&A/Controlling/Audit, and is fluent in English and Spanish (C1). SAP S4HANA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• +7 years of experience in FP&A, Controlling, or Audit.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of SAP S4HANA (FI/CO, SD and PP) is a plus.
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work style with strong attention to detail.
• Fluent English and Spanish skills (C1 level) in both written and spoken communication are a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Lead and develop the Accounting Department with compliant processes and IFRS/Spanish GAAP adherence.
• Oversee general ledger, payables/receivables, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting including statutory accounts, tax filings, and audits.
• Analyze profitability, cost structures, margins, cash flow, and KPIs with actionable financial models.
• Act as the key finance contact for the parent company and stakeholders to strengthen governance and controls.

Head of Finance

Your Tasks

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes, translating business priorities into clear financial targets and action plans.
• Lead and develop the Accounting Department, ensuring effective team coordination, robust processes, accurate records, and compliance with IFRS, Spanish GAAP, and Group policies.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, inventory, work in progress, payroll accounting, bank reconciliations, supplier master data, payment runs, and month-end closing activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including statutory accounts, tax and statistical filings, liquidity monitoring, and coordination of internal and external audits.
• Analyze profitability, cost structures, margins, cash flow, working capital, and key financial and operational KPIs, providing management with financial models, scenarios, and actionable insights.
• Act as the key finance contact for the parent company and other stakeholders, strengthening financial governance, internal controls, cost discipline, and continuous improvement across finance processes.
