Job summary

Pilatus Ibérica is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the team in Sevilla. You will manage general and sub-ledgers, payroll reconciliations, and financial statements in line with IFRS and Spanish GAAP.

The role requires SAP S4HANA knowledge, VAT compliance experience, and strong English communication, contributing to the setup of a new Sevilla facility. You will interact with the parent company and key stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting and process integrity while

Qualifications

• Completed higher education in Finance, Accounting and Controlling with a focus on accounting and compliance.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Spanish GAAP, VAT and Spanish financial regulations.
• Familiarity with SAP S4HANA (FI/CO, SD and PP) is a plus with ERP-driven processes.
• Structured, independent, solution-oriented work style with high attention to detail.
• Fluent English (C1) in written and spoken communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general and sub-ledgers including accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, payroll-related entries, bank, inventory and work in progress.
• Reconcile payroll journals and provisions; prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per IFRS and Spanish GAAP.
• Manage supplier master data, liquidity monitoring and execute payments.
• Oversee materials management, including material master data calculations and maintenance.
• Prepare tax/statistical declarations (VAT, EC-Sales list, Intrastat, SII, corporate tax, plastic tax, IAE).
• Coordinate with parent company and stakeholders on accounting matters.

Your Tasks

• Maintain general and sub-ledgers (e.g. accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, bank, inventory, work in progress etc.)
• Reconcile and control payroll journal entries, including various provisions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (in accordance with IFRS and SPANISH GAAP)
• Manage supplier master data, monitor liquidity and execute payment transactions
• Oversight of materials management, including calculations and maintenance of material master data
• Prepare tax/statistical declarations (e.g. VAT returns, EC-Sales list, Intrastat filings, SII reporting, corporate tax return, plastic tax returns, IAE filing etc.)
• Acting as a point of contact for the parent company and other stakeholders on all relevant accounting matters.

With this you convince us

• Completed higher education in Finance, Accounting and Controlling (e.g. bachelor's in business administration in Accounting and Controlling, or equivalent)
• At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting within an manufacturing company
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Spanish GAAP. Understanding of VAT and other financial compliance regulations in Spain
• Knowledge of SAP S4HANA (FI/CO, SD and PP) is a plus. High affinity for ERP-supported processes
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work style with strong attention to detail
• Fluent English skills (C1 level) in both written and spoken communication are a must
