Ailin.health in Madrid is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead technology strategy, scale an engineering organization, and turn technology into a competitive advantage.

You will partner with the CEO, Product, Data, and leadership to drive innovation, scalability, and growth, translating business objectives into a clear technical roadmap with measurable OKRs. This senior role requires strong software architecture, cloud, security, GDPR, and AI capabilities.

Formación

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast-growing tech company.
• Experience defining and executing technology strategy at senior leadership level.
• Strong software architecture and engineering background.
• Experience building scalable cloud-based products.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity, software quality, and GDPR compliance.
• Experience working closely with Product teams in agile environments.
• Knowledge of Data platforms, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English required

We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering who will lead our technology strategy, build and scale a world-class engineering organization, and ensure that our technology becomes a key competitive advantage for the company.

This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end ownership of our engineering function, working closely with the CEO, Product, Data, and the leadership team to drive innovation, scalability, and business growth.

What You Will Do

• Translate business objectives into a clear technical strategy with measurable OKRs and KPIs.
• Drive scalable, sustainable, and cost-efficient technology decisions.
• Define the infrastructure and technology stack required to support future growth.

Lead a high-performing engineering organization

• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team.
• Foster a strong Product Engineering culture where engineers understand customer impact and business value.
• Improve engineering processes, delivery quality, and team autonomy.

Partner closely with Product

• Act as the strategic bridge between Engineering and Product.
• Participate in product discovery to assess technical feasibility and architectural implications.
• Balance new feature development with technical debt and platform scalability.
• Ensure engineering priorities support business goals.

Drive engineering excellence, security and governance

• Establish engineering standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
• Define cybersecurity, data protection (GDPR), and technical quality frameworks.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable systems.
• Build a robust data infrastructure that enables data-driven decision making.

Lead Data and AI initiatives

• Identify opportunities where Artificial Intelligence creates competitive advantage.
• Drive the integration of AI capabilities into Ailin Health's products.
• Implement AI tools that improve internal productivity and operational efficiency.
• Define governance frameworks for AI models, data quality, ethics, and security.
• Integrate all Data and AI initiatives into the overall technology roadmap.
