Job summary

Nerdio, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a growing AI-native R&D team of 10+ engineers.

This role combines people leadership with hands-on coding, architecture, and technical execution to deliver complex projects with responsible AI practices. You will own engineering execution from concept to production, setting high standards for architecture, security, and code quality while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in Microsoft

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with design to production ownership.
• 4+ years in engineering management, coaching, hiring, and career development.
• Hands-on with prototypes, architecture reviews, and productionization of concepts.
• Strong backend fundamentals across API design, distributed systems, and testing.
• Experience using AI coding assistants, agents, and LLM APIs in real delivery work.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and ability to learn quickly in a C# environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an AI-native R&D team of 10+ engineers with ownership mindset.
• Own end-to-end R&D initiatives from concept to production readiness.
• Establish responsible AI-assisted development practices and code quality standards.
• Architect systems across distributed services, APIs, data flows, and cloud infra.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Security, and Architecture on validation criteria.
