Offer Description

Geometric group is the study of groups via their intrinsic geometry. The techniques and results are closely related to the topology of groups; they often find profound applications to algebraic and low-dimensional topology as well as to model theory. The project will focus on studying structural properties of topologically relevant groups via geometric, cohomological, and profinite methods.
