• University degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Geology, or related field in the Experimental Sciences.
• Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training with relevant specializations.
• B2 level of English, certified.

Responsabilidades

• The research will adopt a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach and include constructing and validating reference models.
• Analyze students’ conceptions and reasoning and design, implement, and evaluate teaching–learning sequences.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of learning processes.

Offer Description

The doctoral thesis will be conducted in the field of Science Education, within the framework of the EARTH project. Its overall aim will be to investigate how teaching socio-ecological issues related to territorial resilience, particularly flood risk and urban heat islands, can foster the development of scientific models, resilience-oriented competences, and forms of socio-ecological agency among secondary school students.

The research will primarily adopt a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach and will include the construction and validation of reference models, the analysis of students’ conceptions and reasoning, the design, implementation, and evaluation of teaching-learning sequences, and the qualitative and quantitative analysis of learning processes.

• Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training, specializing in Biology and Geology, Natural Sciences, Experimental Sciences, or equivalent training providing access to the doctoral programme.
