Job summary

CATL is hiring a Grid Manager to own the end-to-end grid interconnection and compliance for our growing portfolio of utility-scale BESS projects across the EU, with a focus on Italy. You will lead stakeholder engagement with TSOs/DSOs and drive connection strategy from origination through COD.

You will balance technical power system knowledge with commercial risk, and work cross-functionally with development, engineering, EPC, legal and commercial teams to embed grid constraints in project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems required.
• 5–7 years of grid interconnection experience.
• Experience with utilities, TSOs/DSOs on interconnection and grid compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead grid interconnection screening and interconnection applications.
• Evaluate offers, assess reinforcements, costs and risks.
• Oversee power system studies (load flow, short circuit, etc.).
• Ensure grid code compliance for EMS/PCS/SCADA and protection.
• Coordinate with development, EPC, legal, and commercial teams.
• Interface with OEMs to align grid requirements and services.
